Our Day Trip From Lakeside ( Hotel Guru)
The World Peace Stupa is situated on the top of hill above the Fewa Lake. It is a huge Buddhist stupa. The place where the stupa is located is famous for its spectacular views of the Annapurana range and Pokhara valley specially the Fewa lake and the lake side area. One can drive or cycle near to the stupa or can hike about 2 to 3 hour to the stupa and Bhumdi village, after a hike we just cross the lake by boat an hour to come to Lakeside. It is a worth visiting site in Pokhara.
Situated on the North-East of Pokhara city, Kahun Danda is another enchanting hill for spectacular views of the Himalaya range and Pokhara valley. A gentle climb of about two hours from Fulbari. Kahun Danda is also an appropriate place for a day hike. Around the villages ethnic communities are traditionally settled and are worth visiting.
Sarangkot is situated on the top of a hill, north of Fewa lake. It is the most popular viewpoint center of Pokhara. One can get there by a three hours gentle trek from lakeside of drive half and hours or one hour cycling. There is a view tower with powerful Binocular that one can see a close view of the whole Himalaya range from Dhaulagiri to Manaslu. It is also viewpoint for the spectacular views of sunrise and sunset. Sarangkot lies in a popular trekking route i.e. Sarangkot-Kaskikot-Naudanda trek.
Begnas lake lies 17km east of Pokhara airport. Like Fewa lake, Begnas lake is also perfect for boating. It reflects the beautiful image of Annapurna IV. Rupa lake is situated at the east of Beganas lake. A small hillock has separated the two lakes. Both lakes are famous for boating and fishing. There are buses running from city center of Pokhara to Beganas and Rupa lakes

We have just finished a 17 days trek in the Annapurnas and Mustang regions. The trek was demanding at times but from the very beginning we encountered great support and encouragement from Jomson Treks and Expedition who provided the most efficient service.
The city has a humid subtropical climate; however, the elevation keeps temperatures moderate. Temperatures in summer average between 25 and 35 °C; in winter around −2 to 15 °C.

My girlfriend and I just came back from the Ghorepani Trek (Poon Hill) that we did in 4 days (it can be difficult for people who are not in good shape since two of these days are 15 KM/7.5 hours walk per day without speaking of the ascent).
A great experience from the beginning! We looked for some thing off the beaten path and the Model Trek was it. We saw no fellow tourists during our camping portion of the trip ! Just locals Our guide, cook and porters were very good and friendly.
It was a truly great experience. 14 days of pure joy despite some cloudy days (monsoon…). The views from the Thorung La pass (5416m) were just incredible, and some of the villages on the route were magnificent (most notably Upper Pisang and Kagbeni)
